Vi er begeistret for å kunngjøre at den populærere BJJ-instruktøren og Youtuberen Rick Ellis kommer til Kristiansand Kampsport Senter for å holde en fantastisk Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu workshop! Dette er en unik mulighet til å lære fra en ekspert innenfor BJJ, og vi er stolte av å være vertskap for den eneste Roy Dean Academy i Europa.
Om Rick Ellis:
Rick Ellis er 2 grad, BJJ svartbelte under den legendariske Roy Dean og skaperen av Art of Skill, en populær YouTube-kanal med fokus på effektiv og teknisk jiu-jitsu.
Han står også bak Old Grappler Summit, et internasjonalt seminar- og retreatkonsept for utøvere over 40 år med fokus på utøvere som ønsker å trene smartere og over tid.
Rick er kjent for en strukturert og detaljorientert tilnærming til jiu-jitsu, der fokuset ligger på timing, kontroll og presisjon fremfor styrke og eksplosivitet.
Han underviser med mål om å gjøre jiu-jitsu forståelig og anvendelig, uavhengig av nivå, alder eller fysiske forutsetninger.

Overnattingsmuligheter
Vi har inngått en fantastisk avtale med de to Thon-hotellene i Kristiansand, begge hotellene er nylig renovert. Park Hotel er et boutiquehotell, mens Hotel Norge er noe større. Begge hotellene ligger sentralt i byen, med enkel tilgang til alt du trenger. Du kan gå til fergen og enkelt ta buss til flyplassen.
Vår akademi ligger bare 6 minutter unna med bil eller taxi. Våre tøffe danske venner pleier vanligvis å gå den korte 20-minutters turen til eller fra akademiet. Vi har som regel mulighet til å organisere at noen fra vårt team henter deg og bringer deg tilbake til hotellet.

We are excited to announce that the popular BJJ instructor and YouTuber Rick Ellis is coming to Kristiansand Kampsport Senter to teach a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu workshop.
This is a great opportunity to learn from an experienced practitioner, and we are proud to host the only Roy Dean Academy in Europe.
About Rick Ellis:
Rick Ellis is a 2nd degree BJJ black belt under the legendary Roy Dean and the creator of Art of Skill, a popular YouTube channel focused on efficient and technical Jiu-Jitsu.
He is also the founder of Old Grappler Summit, an international seminar and retreat concept for practitioners over 40 who want to train smarter and for the long term.
Rick is known for a structured and detail-oriented approach to Jiu-Jitsu, with a focus on timing, control, and precision rather than strength and explosiveness.
He teaches with the goal of making Jiu-Jitsu understandable and applicable, regardless of level, age, or physical attributes.

The seminar is open to all ages and skill levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners. Whether you are part of Kristiansand Kampsport Senter or not, you are warmly welcome to participate.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your ticket within one week before the camp start date, you will receive a voucher that can be used for another KKS event.
If you do not show up or cancel less than one week before the start date, no refunds will be given.
Accommodation Options
We have entered into a fantastic agreement with the two Thon hotels in Kristiansand, both of which have been recently renovated. Park Hotel is a boutique hotel, while Hotel Norge is somewhat larger. Both hotels are centrally located in the city, with easy access to everything you need. You can walk to the ferry and easily take a bus to the airport.
Our academy is just a 6-minute drive away by car or taxi.
Our tough Danish friends usually opt to walk the short 20-minute journey to or from the academy.
We typically can arrange for someone from our team to pick you up and bring you back to the hotel.

How too get here
Traveling to Kristiansand, Norway, can be conveniently done either by plane or by ferry, depending on your starting location. Here's how to reach Kristiansand using these methods:
By Plane:
Kristiansand is served by Kristiansand Airport, Kjevik (KRS), which has both domestic and international flights. Here's how to get to the city center from Kristiansand Airport:
- By Taxi: Taxis are available outside the terminal building. The ride to the city center takes about 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
- By Bus: The airport express bus (Flybussen) connects the airport with the city center efficiently. Buses are timed to depart shortly after the arrival of domestic flights. Check the current timetable and route on the Flybussen website or at the airport.
By Ferry:
Kristiansand is also accessible by ferry from several locations, including Hirtshals in Denmark, a popular route for those traveling from Europe.

From Hirtshals, Denmark: The ferry service is provided by companies such as Color Line and Fjord Line, offering crossings that bring you directly to Kristiansand. The journey offers beautiful views and takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Upon arrival at the Kristiansand ferry terminal:
- By Foot: The city center is within walking distance. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to most central locations.
- By Bus: Local buses are available near the ferry terminal to take you to different parts of the city and surrounding areas. Check the AKT (Agder Kollektivtrafikk) website for routes and schedules.
- By Taxi: Taxis can be found outside the terminal. They offer a quick and easy way to reach your destination within the city or the surrounding area.
